Our Loan Manager Sabrina Saved our home purchase from failure (Due to another loan Company), got us on back on track, and close on the house we bought on time. We know she went far out of her way to ensure we knew what was going on every step of the way. All of her estimates for closing costs were within a few dollars of dead on. I actually received a bigger return of my earnest money than expected. I would 100% recommend to Everyone doing a VA or any type of loan! I worked with Josh DeLeon and his assistant, Angie. I couldn’t be happier with my experience, they were so good. My credit wasn’t great to start with, but Josh found a way to make things happen, and also walked me through everything. He was ALWAYS available to answer my idiot questions, and was able to keep me calm when I would get riled up about something. He was never pushy, great about reminding me what I needed to do, and was also awesome about dealing with my realtor to make sure everything was good to go. Angie was also so good and ensuring that all of my ducks were in a row so that we could get everything done on time. This was a 10/10 experience and I’ll definitely be back when it’s time to refinance. Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t buy a home, I bought a beautiful house in a high interest rate time with terrible credit (less than 600), and I’m not having to sell my organs to make it happen. This is where I’ll be sending all my buddies for their VA loan needs.

In June of 2023 my husband was working in Korea while our kids and I were living in Washington state. We were faced with an extremely tight timeline in which to find and buy a home in Maryland; hoping to have keys in hand by mid/late August. Almost the entire home buying process would need to be done virtually, often juggling communication between parties in 2 to 3 time zones. Luckily, my husband’s brother (a realtor in California) referred us to Merry Cristiani for all our lending needs. She was amazing in so many ways, so for brevity’s sake I will focus this review on her diligent communication, expertise, and caring personality. My husband and I initially reached out to Merry via text message to explain our situation and her response was immediate. She was flexible and committed to finding a time when we could Facetime together (despite the tricky time zone differences) for introductions and initial questions. After that call, Merry charged full speed ahead: gathering our information and documents as needed, checking in with us often as we virtually searched for homes, and continuing to respond promptly to our many texts and emails. She also was great at communicating directly with our realtor as needed as well. There is a reason Merry is listed in my contacts as “Loan Guru” (paired with the fire emoji)...because she KNOWS HER STUFF! This is our second time buying a home, yet my eyes still glazed over when discussing the paperwork, timelines, and numbers involved with the whole process. Merry was so patient and willing to explain (often more than once) answers to any questions we posed. She helped us gameplan a realistic price range to stick to that would allow us to meet our long term monthly budget. Her confident professionalism and wealth of knowledge and experience put my mind at ease. I could fully trust in her ability to complete her job without feeling the need to ‘keep tabs’ on her progress. She and her company were able to process all paperwork virtually and complete everything in a shorter time frame than typically offered by lenders- which was essential for procuring our home in time. Above all else, Merry demonstrated her caring personality through humor and positivity which brought levity to this very stressful and chaotic time for my family. She even checked in with us a few times after we moved into our new home and sent us a thoughtful housewarming gift. I seriously can’t recommend Merry enough!

What can I say, after working on my credit for years and being refused time and time again, I didn't expect anything different with MHS Lending. After taking the pre-qualification screener we were connected by Amari Smith, and what can I say but she was absolutely amazing.
